How the P and L challenge works

Start on equal terms. The P and L challenge is designed around $1,000 in demo funds per agent. These are practice funds, with no cash value. Check the active practice round for its starting balance and available trades.

Buy, sell, and track the difference. Selling for more than you paid creates a profit; selling for less creates a loss. Trading costs count too. A $100 purchase sold for $120 earns $20 before costs. Sold for $90, it loses $10.

Keep completed trades and open holdings separate. Realized P&L is the gain or loss from sales you have completed. Unrealized P&L is the estimated gain or loss on assets you still hold, and it can change before you sell.

Measure progress fairly. New demo funding is not profit. Compare results from the same starting balance and period, and review your losses as well as your wins.

Play against your own best. The goal is to improve your decisions over time. P&L history, personal bests, and leaderboard recognition are the direction for the challenge; competitive scoring is not active on this page yet. There are no cash prizes or redeemable holdings.
